The Wedge Explorer is specifically designed for All Wheel drive vehicles. This means that for the first time owners of vehicles such as Honda CRV, Toyota Rav 4, Subaru Forrester, Nissan X Trail, BMW X5, Mercedes M Class, Honda MDX, Toyota Kluger, Subaru Outback etc. can venture off road and take a luxury camper trailer with them along with the knowledge that the camper will go anywhere they may wish to take their car.
The Wedge Explorer has a tow ball weight from 60kg and is lightweight yet robust weighing in from only 770kg.
The Wedge has a queen size bed over the trailer and a deluxe rear fold out hard floor that sleeps up to 3. Rear fold hard floor has a 2.3m long tent. The overall length is a 6.3m tent and 2.1m wide awning. 130 litre water tank. The trailer includes a 12 volt system, Twin 100 amp batteries, colight mounted inside tent, Anderson plug for vehicle charging battery & 12v light adjacent to kitchen and also a book reading light at the bedhead.
Handling and safety are well catered for by independent trailing arm coil suspension with Pedders foam cell shock absorbers.12 inch electric brakes. 60m stud axle parallel bearings with a 3300kg load rating
Quality stainless steel slide out kitchen has a 3 burner Smev stove. Smev sink with pressurised water. Two slide out stainless steel utility drawers, lined with marine carpet plus storage well for cutlery. Stainless steel working bench. Tea towel rack. Stove & sink are covered by high quality glass lids. The kitchen is permanently connected to gas and water and also offers a water level guage. There is no need for support legs.
Front storage unit is a 2mm alloy wedge shaped box lined with marine carpet that contains the 30Amp Battery Charger, fire extinguisher and voltage and fridge temp guages. Also a fridge slide is fixed which holds a 40lt Autofridge, Engle or similar. One 20L jerry can holder 1 x 4.5kg gas ring and bottle permanently connected to stove and a 130L water tank connected to a marine 12 volt pressure pump.
