VW Amarok Atacama lands in Australia

VW Amarok Atacama Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Australia has released a new exclusive Amarok model –the awkwardly named Amarok Atacama.

The factory-developed Amarok Atacama is available now in Australia with deliveries already underway, bringing with it a raft of stylish and practical upgrades for discerning customers.

Expanding on the already impressive equipment levels of the TDI400 Selectable 4MOTION manual and TDI420 Permanent 4MOTION automatic models, which include such features as a multi-function display with satellite navigation, and front and rear park distance control, the Amarok Atacama adds unique additional features as standard.

The Amarok Atacama is characterised by its sporty exterior styling, which includes Bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime driving lamps, black sports bar and side steps, black rear step bumper, and 18-inch ‘Durban’ black alloy wheels with Bridgestone 255/60 R18 tyres. To add further practicality to the Amarok’s purposeful design, the Atacama is also equipped with the ‘Durabed’ spray-on tubliner to protect the tray when carrying loads.

Inside, the Amarok Atacama continues to offer exclusivity with a unique, new ‘QUAD’ fabric trim with a quilted bolster finish, giving the cabin a touch of premium sophistication.

The Atacama is also comprehensively specified with a raft of standard technologies, including the RNS315 satellite navigation system, dual zone ‘Climatronic’ climate control, automatic headlights and rain-sensing windscreen wipers, front and rear park distance control and a rear-view camera.

To launch this new product, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will release 500 of the Amarok Atacama vehicles which are available for order now.
