‘Andy Strapz’ well known purveyor of all things needed to travel on a bike, has just completed testing and released his Expedition Pannierz frame kit for the new Triumph Explorer.
While Expedition Pannierz are essentially universal fit the frame kits are model specific. Andy’s Pannierz are made of tuff, heavy weight Aussie canvas, to withstand the punishment that dual sport bikes hand out. Variable in capacity, from about 20 to 30 litres per bag via a roll top system, thus increasing the volume of the bag but not the width of the bike.
Clever touches such as a small strap that loops through grab rails or rack to prevent the bags vibrating forward over rough road, and mesh pockets trimmed with reflective tape on the rear panel (2 pocket) or on the front and rear panel (4 pocket) for water, chain lube or oil bottles.
RRP for 2 Pockets set is $345 or $385 for the 4 pockets set.
Lightweight Frames to suit the Explorer are $370.
