Jayco Base Station and Work N’Play

Jayco Base Station and Work N’Play
The Jayco Base Station and Work N’Play offer trademark comforts of an RV with the vast storage space of a trailer to transport and store the dirt bikes, with plenty of room out the front to live and relax.

For adrenaline junkies, motorbike riders or action-loving individuals who need their transportation space, a Jayco Toy Hauler is essential.Gary Reid, director of ShowTime FMX; TV host for the Australian Super X Series; and announcer for the world famous Crusty Demons, has used both models.

“We love everything about Jayco’s Toy Haulers.  Having one of the units available at our events as a spot to hang out, have a rest and store our bikes is ideal,” said Gary.

“When we travelled to Bathurst last year, we had four of our team staying in a Base Station, and they thought it was awesome.

“It’s great to have a ready-made unit that we can live in and use to transport our equipment around the country.  We’ve carried everything in the Toy Haulers – from our golf cart, to our jet ski, four dirt bikes, some road bikes, and one time even two custom choppers,” concluded Gary.

Jayco Marketing Director, Andrew Ryan, said that Jayco’s Toy Haulers are the ultimate merging of function and design.

“We’ve really gone all out on these, from the superior strength of our millennium chassis to the custom designed Eurostyle furniture. The attention to detail is evident inside and out.

“The updated and innovative design adds a fresh contemporary feel, and is now even easier to set up,” said Andrew.

“But what it’s really about is combining two things that Aussies love – the freedom of travel and our love of being active.”

The toy haulers offer up to 11 square meters of garage style storage space that can fit all the crew’s bikes as well as provide the perfect area for kicking back after a long day on the track.

The Base Station sleeps up to eight people, while the Work N’Play offers two different layouts and can sleep up to six.

Two of the three layouts include a fully equipped bathroom with a toilet and shower. All models come with kitchen and dining areas, fridge, microwave, 12 volt rangehood and a three or four burner griller, allowing you to enjoy home cooked meals on the road.

Not only are the units big on space, they also have the detail and comfort Jayco is famous for. The interiors are complete with updated upholstery covers, easy-to-clean vinyl flooring, full height kitchen splashbacks and a choice of colour options for bench tops.

Optional features include solar panels, air-conditioning, slide out barbeque and external speakers – perfect for relaxing after a big day on the bike.

Both models are designed to withstand the toughest customers.  Cabinet fronts are screwed not stapled, aluminium framing is used in high-traffic areas and new curved corner extrusions provide added strength.

Top quality Enduro© foam is used in all of the RV’s interior cushioning, ensuring a great night’s sleep

In 2009, Reid’s team hauled the Base Station to tour Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Deniliquin, Bathurst and everywhere in between.

This year, the ShowTime FMX crew are taking a Work N’Play around Melbourne and Adelaide Shows, and will tow it with them to the Bathurst 100 V8 Supercar and Movieworld.
