LX 600 Sports Luxury 4WD 2022 Review

LX 600 Sports Luxury – A few weeks ago we tested the Lexus LX 500d with a tow test, this week it’s the LX 600 Sports luxury turn.  2022 Lexus LX 600 Ultra Luxury (Graphite Back) The major difference between the two models is a V6 twin turbo petrol engine that delivers 305kW and 650Nm running through a permanent 4WD system and a 10 speed sports AT.

The LX 600 also has a 30L sub tank giving a 110L capacity. Being a little heavy on fuel at an ADR figure of 12.1L/100k that can cost a bit to fill with prices these days.

The big V6 petrol was smooth and powerful and if you were tempted to plant the right foot expect to see 20L/100kplus economy.

The Sport Luxury pack adds features like heated and ventilated front and rear seats, 5 seat configuration, rear seat entertainment system, power folding second-row seats, Digital rear-view mirror and heated steering wheel to name a few.

Unlike many luxury SUVs the LX is a true dual range 4WD that has the same capability as the 300 series LandCruiser. It will also tow 3500kg and I have found they are often used to tow horse floats, boats etc.

The Lexus LX 600 Sports Luxury is priced from around $168,491 plus the usual costs

Also Look At

There aren’t a lot of worthwhile direct competitors f0r the big Lexus. Buyers could start with the LandCruiser that provides the base for the LX – Toyota LandCruiser Sahara ZX.

Land Rover has two vehicles in the same category the Land Rover Defender D300 SE and the Land Rover Discovery

Two other alternatives could be the Audi Q8 and the Nissan Patrol TI-L
