  • Allocation of 30 Kombi van-inspired Multivan Cruise models also selling rapidly online, with some still available to customers

At the same time as the California Beach, a 30-vehicle allocation of the Multivan Cruise Limited Edition model was also placed online for sale. Both variants were made available for customer order with a raft of unique specifications, adding to the exclusivity and the rarity of the first-look vans. What’s more, in the case of the California Beach, this was the best chance for customers to secure a camper van in time for the summer holidays.

While the initial allocation of 30 limited edition campers is now officially sold out, the special Multivan Cruise model is currently still available, but selling fast.

Customer orders were taken via Volkswagen’s new Australian website with ordering functionality, which also gives customers the opportunity to receive a digital trade valuation on their existing vehicle.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Australia Director, Mr. Ryan Davies, was thrilled with the unprecedented result.

“It’s rather fitting that one of our most iconic and successful heritage models ushers in a new way of selling our vehicles,” Mr. Davies explained.

“In the changing, often unpredictable world we live in right now, being able to offer customers new levels of flexibility feels like a natural step for the People’s Car Brand. Our online ordering and trade-in valuation is largely an Australian innovation, and it’s great to see it being utilized by our customers,” Mr. Davies continued.

Since launching in March, 2020, the new Volkswagen Australia site has made it easier than ever for customers to research, specify, order and track the delivery of a new Volkswagen. Working in tandem with Volkswagen’s national dealer network, online ordering and trade-in valuation can be completed from any online-enabled device.
